February Diary
I am writing my diary in the first days of Spring. We have just celebrated the Feast of St. Brigid whose community marked the beginnings of early Celtic Spirituality in Ireland . Brigid is also the Patron Saint of the Diocese of Kildare & Leighlin which I belong to. So many customs relate back to the life and times of Brigid. She had a wonderful appreciation of people and hospitality was a very important charisma of hers. So many stories are told of her kindness and faithfulness. In one of my earliest collections of music Light The Fire a number of the pieces are inspired by the life and philosophy of this great Irish woman. Her spirit of charity is certainly living on in the hearts of Irish men and women who have been so gracious and generous in remembering their suffering brothers and sisters in Haiti.
At long after the winter snows I returned to the studio to begin working with Mark on a new collection of songs. I am very excited about this venture as all the songs are new and in a style somewhat different than the last collection of music. It would be interesting to see what people would like to hear in a new collection- so if you have any ideas please do let us hear them !
It has always been my desire and also my great privilege to support many very worthy Charities who offer such great respite and support to people in different ways. In March I am delighted to perform at a very special event for St. Francis Hospice in Dublin. The Hospice Movement offer a wonderful support to so many people and their families and I am delighted to be part of this special event. Stars of screen and stage will grace the Helix stage on Sat 6th March – details on our website or from the Box Office at the Helix.
On March 19th and 20th I will be performing at the Annaheim Convention Centre in Los Angeles, CA. Last year we had a super concert in the same arena and I look forward to being there again this year. It is especially nice to link up with our friends from that side of the world.
We have also just posted a new list of Tour dates that will take us to many new locations throughout the country so be sure to tell your friends. We love to see you all.
Over the coming weeks we will be updating our Website with some wonderful new innovations. I look forward to hearing from new and regular visitors and thank you for your constant support.
