July Diary
Looking out the window on such beautiful summer's day reminds me that the sun has not deserted us here in Ireland …well not for today at least ! I have just completed the Irish Church Music Summer School where I was a Tutor at the University Campus at Maynooth, Kildare. Joining me for the first time was Chris de Silva from Singapore and now living and working in LA. Chris and I had worked on a new GIA recording ~ Castle of the Soul ~ with Tony Alonso in LA recently and I was thrilled to have such a great musician and arranger with me. I got a chance to take him to Glendalough which was beautiful in this weather.
In the last few weeks Mark, Brendan and I have been presenting workshops for the Glendalough Mass and will continue to do so in September. We have had wonderful crowds taking part and its always beautiful and humbling to hear many voices singing in harmony, making the music come alive- which has happened in so many venues. Please see the Tour page for the remainder of the Workshops to be posted soon.
In these days we are looking ahead and believe it or not planning our Autumn and Christmas Tour which will be unveiled soon with some special events to mark my Twentieth Anniversary in Music Publishing. It will be an opportunity for me to recall the blessings and memorable performances of the past twenty years and also an opportunity to look ahead with new hope and creativity.
We will also be recording an audio version of ~The Hope Prayer ~ which will be available soon and for which we continue to get many requests.
If you are enjoying the summer break may you be safe and surrounded by good friends and beautiful music. I look forward to seeing you all soon .
With blessings,
Liam
