Autumn 2010 Diary

As I write this these lines its hard to believe that summer is almost over as the sun is still warming the day and beyond my window the world looks green and beautiful. I am also saddened by the news of the untimely death of the great Irish Actor Mick Lally. Generations of Irish people knew him in his many wonderful roles both on and off screen. His wonderful turn of phrase and his ability to personalise his characters made him an actor of outstanding ability and charm. I was very fortunate to have Mick narrate my Glendalough poem on the TIME album. He read with great sensitivity and pathos and invited many comments from all corners of the words for his beautiful narration and the interpretation of his concluding words ~ Glen dá Lough. May the lakes of light and the prayer of the ancient monks now draw him into Paradise as we wish our deepest sympathy to his family and friends and all his colleagues in the acting profession.

Soon we will be embarking on our Hope Prayer Tour and I look forward very much to performing in some lovely venues throughout the country. This will be an evening of reflection, song and music and a claming way to begin the new year which creeps up so fast on all. For Choirs and other such groups it will be nice evening to re- group and begin the season.

The new album is in the middle of completion and next weekend we are recording with the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra. Once again Mark ( Cahill ) has produced some beautiful arrangements for the songs which will be  a real joy for me to record. We will soon announce all details of the new collection and our Christmas Tour which has seen December fill up very quickly with dates, so watch this space. Don’t forget also to visit our Liam Lawton Music on Facebook which will keep you up to date on all.

I look forward to seeing you during our Hope Prayer Tour and be sure to tell you friends to come along ……
